The National Parks Conservation Association, the nation’s leading national park advocacy organization, seeks a Regional Director to manage its Texas Regional Office in Dallas, San Antonio, Austin or another city in Texas. The qualified individual will guide park protection and field office strategies in the region, particularly around Big Thicket National Preserve, San Antonio Missions National Historical Park and Palo Alto National Battlefield; contribute to our national campaigns, such as park funding; coordinate efforts with elected officials at the federal, state and local levels, community and youth organizations, non-government groups, and public agencies; work with the media; and engage with individual donors and foundations to secure funding for the regions and NPCA. BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in relevant field, with graduate degree preferred, and at least seven years in conservation advocacy, resource management, historic/cultural preservation, or non-profit advocacy campaigns.
