The Ideal Candidate

Do you smile a lot? Are you the first to raise your hand when help is needed? Are you an outgoing “connector” who your friends and colleagues always see at the center of the action? Are you a “producer” who loves to build something tangible, like a program or event, or turn new ideas into reality with flair –to make a project “yours” and run with it? Are you excited to push things to new levels?  Do you love working with older people?

The perfect candidate is likely to have a special combination of a big personality and impressive capabilities as a professional who can get things done. He or she will play a very central role in building and enriching the daily life of Senior Planet San Antonio, learning what makes Senior Planet so special, ensuring a fun and transformative experience for all members, flawlessly managing operational systems, developing and scheduling classes, programs, and special events, and cultivating relationships with partner organizations, serving as an ambassador to other nonprofits that will be co-producing outcomes with the seniors they serve and OATS through Senior Planet.

This is a full-time hands-on opportunity for an ambitious person ready to go the extra mile, who deeply cares about older people and their growth, who is a bit countercultural and open to innovative approaches, and is seeking to develop to the next level professionally with the support of the team at OATS and become a well-known leader in this exciting new field in San Antonio and beyond.  Bilingual speaking proficiency in Spanish and English is strongly preferred.
