San Antonio Museum of Art seeks an experienced payroll/accounting clerk to process the Museum’s employee payroll as well as provide support in other areas of the finance department as needed.

Qualifications include at least one year’s experience working with processing payroll in a professional setting, as well as general accounting office work, preferably for a non-profit, a museum, or other arts and cultural organizations. Ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills, and must be highly organized and detail oriented. Strong administrative skills, being able to effectively meet deadlines in a fast paced, multitasking environment, and the ability to provide support and resources to other departments are required attributes. Ideal candidate should have advanced working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software applications and strong experience working with accounting software and programs; should also have experience working with deposits, posting to a GL, and basic knowledge of and/or experience with overall accounting departmental duties. Experience with payroll, purchasing, and financial reporting are preferred. Education related to finance and/or accounting is a plus.
