Job Summary    

The Texas Diaper Bank is searching for an experienced, dynamic and goal oriented Development Officer.   The objective of this role is to assure that the organization meets its yearly budget goals by raising sufficient funds and goods through a variety of revenue sources.  This position is responsible for working with the CEO, board of directors, committees, and a department staff for planning and coordinating all aspects of fund development and marketing/public relations for the Texas Diaper Bank.  The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, professional capable of prioritizing workload in a fast-paced nonprofit corporate environment.  This is an excellent opportunity to join a mission–driven service organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Manage the annual fundraising plan, budget and strategies that effectively strengthen the organization fundraising capacity and sustainability
  • Identify, establish and implement the resources and infrastructure needed to meet revenue goals (cash & non-cash) through contributions from businesses & corporations, faith-based organizations, federated campaigns, foundations, fundraisers, and other sources
  • Coordinate, supervise, coach, evaluate and train department staff
  • Oversee daily development activities
  • Develop and implement a donor (cash & non-cash) cultivation and stewardship program
  • Serve as a staff liaison and provide support to board committee(s)
  • Manage the implementation of various software’s and application used by development staff
  • Provide reports and updates to the CEO on a timely basis

Required Skills

  • Bachelor of Arts Degree
  • Minimum of 5 or more years of experience in development
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational, project/task management, and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities
  • Change resilient, results driven, and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Valid Driver’s License

Work Hours                       7:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Thursday; 7:30 am to 1:30 pm Friday

Salary                                    $50,000 – $65,000
