Welcome Back to SAMA!
We’re excited to announce that SAMA is ready to welcome you back in the galleries at a safely limited capacity beginning Tuesday, May 26, for our members and on Thursday, May 28, for all visitors.
 
Please note our updated hours:
Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
 
We’re open late on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m.–7p.m.
 
Protocols and Policies
 
To protect our visitors and staff, we have prepared protocols and supplies to maintain health and safety for all.
 
We also changed our visitor policies. The Museum will require the use of face coverings/masks, proper social distancing measures, and online ticketing. For the full list of our revised policies and protocols, please visit samuseum.org/welcome.
 
Texas Women
If you have missed the exhibition (or want to see it again), Texas Women: A New History of Abstract Art has been extended through September 6. Don’t miss it!
 
Shop
The Museum Shop will remain temporarily closed after the Museum reopens, but you can order online and pick up your purchases at the Museum.
 
Events
At the time, we do not offer events on the Museum grounds. However, you can join us online for Art to Lunch, Playdates, Happy Hour Tours, Artist Conversations, and Curator Talks. Check our online calendar to see all upcoming events.
 
SAMA Anywhere
We will continue to provide digital resources for online learning and engagement for anyone who would prefer to access the Museum from the comfort of their own home. Visit samuseum.org/samaanywhere.
 
Tre Trattoria
The Museum restaurant will reopen at limited capacity on Thursday, May 21 (Tuesdays–Sundays 4–9 p.m., reservation only). You can also order online and pick up your order Tuesdays–Sundays (11 a.m.–9 p.m.).
