In fiction, everything is seen through the eyes of a character, which makes characterization one of the most important elements of fiction. In this two-session course, speaker and novelist Jan Morrill will discuss and demonstrate a variety of techniques she has used to develop multi-dimensional characters who will keep your readers turning the pages.

Jan Morrill‘s debut novel, The Red Kimono (University of Arkansas Press, 2013), was selected Historical Novel Society’s Editor’s Choice and an Arkansas Gem by the Arkansas State Library.
