is seeking interesting articles. Suggestions for topics
may include, but are not limited to:
- A spotlight on yourself as a nonprofit, a volunteer or a
donor.
- Fundraising - events, mailings, record keeping, public relations,
networking.
- On-line donating.
- Board of Directors - development, fiduciary responsibility,
insurance.
- How to go about looking for funding.
- Continuing education, conferences, workshops.
We cannot guarantee that each piece or picture we receive
will be published on the site.

- We only accept nonfiction articles that pertain to the nonprofit
community. We do not accept fiction or poetry.
- Articles will be rejected immediately if they include any
offensive language or in any way relate to racism, hatred, pornography
or any other blatant negativity.
- No monetary compensation is made for any articles accepted,
nor does Texasnonprofits.org guarantee publication of stories
it accepts.
- Texasnonprofits.org understands that any article submitted
carries with it permission by the author to reprint it on the
Texasnonprofit.org website.
- We encourage people to send in articles never published before.
All articles must be the original work of the submitter and
must be free of any copyright infringements.
- Texasnonprofits.org reserves the right to edit any articles
submitted. Such edits will be limited and would not change the
content or viewpoint.
- The article should include a brief title. We may change the
title to fit our format. If one is not provided, we will create
one.
- Submissions must include a brief author biography (written
in the third person) and word count. Articles should be between
1,000 and 2,000 words. If you are the owner/author of a website,
please include a bi-line with the website attached.
- Please include your contact information. Such information
will be published with your article; however, if you choose
such information not be published, texasnonprofits.org will
respect your privacy and will not release such information provided
you have specifically requested texasnonprofits.org NOT release
that information.

- Accompanying photos or original artwork in .gif or .jpg format
are encouraged, but they must be your original creation and
must include appropriate captions. Any submitted images carry
with them permission for texasnonprofit.org to use them on its
web site. If articles are submitted under the auspices of a
nonprofit, foundation, or other organization, texasnonprofits.org
may obtain images from that organization’s web site or other
printed medium to be used only with that article. It is understood
that once images are placed on texasnonprofit.org’s web site,
the capability exists for those images to be downloaded by any
computer, and they are no longer under the control of texasnonprofits.org
- We respectfully request that if your piece is published,
you not send it to other similar websites and/or newsletters
for a one-month period.
- All submissions must be either electronically transferred
via e-mail, in the body of the e-mail or as an attachment, or
mailed to us on a 3.5” disk or CD. All submissions must be in
ASCII text, Microsoft Word or Corel WordPerfect 7.0 format and
be virus-free.
- If hard copies of articles and graphics are sent by mail,
only those with an accompanying disk can be considered. texasnonprofits.org
cannot scan graphics or photos for inclusion. Articles, artwork
and graphics cannot be returned to the author, so please do
not send us your only copy.
- Articles are accepted for consideration on an ongoing basis,
so please do not limit your stories by containing any time-sensitive
information. If you want to submit events or news items, please
do so by e-mailing a separate press release.
