 General Description: 


Responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and securing gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations. Implement a contributor relationship management program to maintain and increase giving from current and prospective donors. 



 Develop and maintain a three-year fund development plan and strategy, updated annually. 

 Manage appropriate individual volunteers and volunteer committees in support of development and implementation the fund development plan. 

 Use a fund raising model such as the Benevon model that incorporates point of entry introductory events; personally following-up with event participants; making the ask to support the mission of the organization; and following up by thanking contributors and identifying new prospects for support. 

 Identify, cultivate and solicit current and new corporate partners for support of specific programs and all fundraisers. 

 Identify, cultivate and solicit current and new foundations for support of specific programs. 

 Assist with the coordination and implementation of the annual dinner. 

 Maintain a donor database. 

 Develop a contributor relationship program with appropriate staff that ensures interaction with contributors seven times per year (such as thank you letters/notes, birthdays, newsletters, social media, and personal visits). 

 Ensure scheduling, coordination and follow-up of in-person visits for the President/CEO or other staff and/or volunteers as appropriate. 

 Write grant proposals as requested.

 Other duties as assigned. 



 Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of non-profit fundraising experience required. 

 Interest, enthusiasm and affinity for fundraising and working with people. 

 Successful track record of personally identifying, cultivating and soliciting individual, corporate and foundation donors. 

 Excellent written and oral communication, research and organizational skills. 

 Ability to travel to meet with current and prospective contributors.

 Computer literacy and knowledge of Word, Excel and fundraising and constituent management software required.
