How do I search TXNP's 990 PDFs?

A:   

Follow the directions in each of these sections: Basic Search, Rotate Page, and Advanced Help.

Basic Search

  1. On the 'Detailed Foundation Report' Page, click on the fiscal year to view 990
  2. The 990 will open in a new window. Downloading may take several minutes. The new window will allow you to continue working while the file (in some cases it could be over 2,000 pages long) downloads.
  3. On the toolbar, click the Search Tool
  4. Type the word, words, or part of a word that you want to search for.
  5. Select from one of the following to apply to your search:
    • Whole Words Only - finds only occurrences of the complete word.
    • Case-Sensitive - find only occurrences of the words that are in the case you typed.
    • Search in Bookmarks - searches the text in the Bookmarks pane as well as the text in the document. Each are listed with a different icon.
    • Search in Comments - searches the text in the Comments and in the document text. Each are listed with a different icon.

Rotate Page

  • Click on the Rotate Clockwise or Counterclockwise icons. These are located on the far end of the Toolbar.
  • Choose View > Rotate View > Clockwise or Counterclockwise. You can change the view of a page in 90-degree increments. This changes the view of the page, not its actual orientation and cannot be saved.

Advanced Help

Q:   

When I print out articles, the right side of the page leaves off about half inch of the text. How do I get the article to print out complete?

A:   

Printing with landscape is the best way to go to make sure all of the articles are captured. Go to Print, choose Paper, and the choose landscape.
