Will you join us for a workshop on Government Accountability and Civic Engagement?
The goal of this year’s Great Cities Dialogue is to begin an action plan for progress on the Government Accountability and Civic Engagement element of SA 2020, guided by the ideas articulated in the 2011 Report. We have “Dreamed it,” and now the focus moves toward “Mapping it.”

At this event, our most interactive Great Cities ever, citizens will work together to move us toward targets identified in the 2010-2011 SA2020 community meetings. We will look at ideas on how to improve indicators such as voter turnout, public service volunteerism, access to public information, diversity of City boards and commissions, and so on, and consider if/how they would work in our City. Then, we will discuss how to make those ideas happen. We will not finish the job in just one day, but it will be an important start.

Registration is encouraged but not required, and parking is free in the D-3 parking lot. To register, please go to copp@utsa.edu or call Marian Bownds at 458-2530.
