The Weeds Were Winning! Kenn Mingus, GRACE Food Pantry

Special thanks to members from the Lakota Tribe of Indian Princesses! At the GRACE Food Pantry, it is always our goal to make shopping here a pleasant experience.  First impressions are always important.  Sadly, the flower beds in front of the Pantry were in bad shape.  Fortunately, gracious volunteers are always ready to come to the rescue.  This past Saturday, Todd Schneider and members of the Lakota tribe of the Indian Princesses came to the Pantry to take care of our landscaping needs.  They took care of the weeding, clean up and planting.  Todd is also going to help us with some sprinkler system issues.  It's volunteers like Todd and the Indian Princesses that make it so rewarding to be a part of the GRACE team.  Our thanks to all the volunteers who give so generously of their time and talents.

    GRACE Sandwich Wins NSCC!

Weinberger's on Main St. in GrapevineActually, both of the sandwiches in the finals were "GRACE" representatives. The Italian Beef and the Jumbo Hot Dog squared off for sandwich supremacy. With baseball's opening day in recent memory, one might have thought that the Jumbo Hot Dog had the advantage, but the unseasonably cool temperatures had patrons seeking the hearty warmth of the Italian Beef, so "Feed Our Kids" will receive a cash donation!

Thanks again to Dan and all the folks over at Weinberger's for including GRACE in their Sandwich Championship!
