Center for Nonprofit Management and Council of PR Firms Partner to Present
Digital Marketing Workshop for Nonprofits in Dallas

Dallas- The Center for Nonprofit Management and The Council of Public Relations Firms are pleased to announce a unique educational opportunity: “Thriving and Surviving in Uncertain Times: Practical Digital Marketing Techniques for Nonprofits. Digital communication experts from top public relations firms will share their expertise on Friday, April 17, from 8 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the Center for Community Cooperation in Dallas.  Participants registering before April 7 will receive the early registration fee of $45 for Center members and $75 for non-members.  To register, visit www.cnmdallas.org or call 214-826-3470, ext. 239.

In commemoration of its 10th Anniversary, the Council of Public Relations Firms is partnering with local members across the country to present the nonprofit workshops.  At the April 17 session in Dallas, participants will hear a keynote address from Dr. Leslie Gaines-Ross, Chief Reputation Strategist for Weber Shandwick, who will discuss 15 realities and rules for managing an organization's online reputation.  Following the keynote, there will be an opportunity to attend one of two sessions focusing on online fundraising, social networking and brand awareness.  Attendees will learn
cost-effective, cutting-edge techniques to build their online communities; identify and engage donors; and create brand awareness with blogs, Web 2.0, Facebook, Twitter, online video and more.

“The breadth of online tools and platforms available is growing so fast, it’s important to stay current,” said Kathy Cripps, president of the Council of Public Relations Firms. “We’re pleased to partner with the Center for Nonprofit Management to bring our members’ deep expertise in this area and help translate how these tools can meet an organization’s needs and maximize their effectiveness on a limited budget.”

Participating firms include:  Burson Marsteller, Ketchum, Levenson & Brinker Public Relations, The Powell Group, Vollmer, Waggener Edstrom Worldwide and Weber Shandwick.

The session will end with a presentation and panel discussion about future trends, followed by an optional networking and round table lunch with representatives from America's leading public relations firms.

 

The session will take place on Friday, April 17, from 8 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the Center for Community Cooperation at 2900 Live Oak Street in Dallas.  Participants registering before April 7 will receive the early registration fee of $45 for Center members and $75 for non-members and the optional lunch fee is $10.  The fee after April 7 is $60 for Center members and $90 for non-members.  For more information or to register for this seminar, please visit www.cnmdallas.org or call 214-826-3470, ext. 239.
