Support a Healthy Food Retail Initiative in Dallas!
Children at Risk

January, 2017

As you know, CHILDREN AT RISK, has been actively advocating for the implementation of a Healthy Food Retail Initiative through the city of Dallas over the past year couple of years. This program will bring healthy food options to food desert neighborhoods across south Dallas.  We currently have the opportunity for partial funding of the project through a Community Development Block Grant.  An important element of this funding relies on community input, and requires a significant number of citizen comment cards to be received during the month of January referencing support for a particular program.

Thank you in advance for showing your continued support of a Healthy Food Retail Initiative in Dallas by clicking HERE and completing a citizen comment card.

Cards must be submitted by January 31st!

Each card received by the Economic Development Commission will make a difference in securing the requisite funds to implement this important program in 2017-2018. Thank you for forwarding to any or all of your community contacts!
Please contact Cheri Colter at ccolter@childrenatrisk.org if you have any questions.
