Spring Break Bash 2012 at Morgan’s Wonderland will feature daily operation March 9-18 and special entertainment as a bonus to the unique theme park’s regular attractions.

“We’re delighted to have just begun our third season of operation and to again have the opportunity to welcome more and more guests from near and far,” said Gordon Hartman, CEO of The Gordon Hartman Family Foundation that spearheaded creation of Morgan’s Wonderland.  “The park has gained a great reputation as a safe, affordable, colorful place for family fun.  Now we’re adding more fun with special spring-break entertainment.”

·         Marie Ferdinand’s Basketball Camp, 10 a.m.-noon, Event Center

Three-time WNBA all-star Marie Ferdinand will teach basketball fundaments such as dribbling, shooting and passing.  Each participant will receive a special t-shirt and autographed photo of Ferdinand.  For more information, call (210) 637-3469

·         Dinosaur George, noon-1 p.m., Starlight Amphitheater

The self-taught paleontologist and animal behaviorist is host of “Jurassic Fight Club,” a 12-part series on the History Channel.  He will share his 35 years of study and research in a lively presentation about prehistoric life forms from around the world.

·         Music and Storytelling from Faerie and Otherworld Folklore, noon-1 p.m., Starlight Amphitheater


Kaade of the Woods will play folkloric tunes on flutes from around the world.  Along with a few other obscure instruments, he specializes in stories and melodies involving faeries, mermaids, trolls and other mythical creatures.

·          Zoofari Animal Outreach, noon-1 p.m., Starlight Amphitheater


Zoofari animal experts will show intriguing animals such as monkeys, eagles and owls and tell all about them.


·         Elora & Gasoline Alley, 3-4 p.m., Starlight Amphitheater

Thirteen-year-old recording artist Elora will take center stage with her band, Gasoline Alley, one of Greater San Antonio’s rising pop/rock groups.

·         Writing for Wellness, 10 a.m.- 6 p.m., Event Center

Participants in this interactive workshop will get professional advice on how to write poetry, scripts and lyrics.

·         Elora & Gasoline Alley, noon-1 p.m., Starlight Amphitheater


·         Uncle Willy Entertainment, 4-6 p.m., Starlight Amphitheater


Talented musician Willy Sparks will entertain Morgan’s Wonderland guests with country and bluegrass music.
