Seth Mittag

Seth Mittag at Emergency Room

Rice University, Sewall Hall Room 402

September 29 - October 27, 2011

Closing Reception:

October 27, 2011, 7-9PM

Gallery hours:

10AM-4PM Monday-Saturday

Lawndale Studio Artist Seth Mittag will be installing his work at the Emergency Room located on the Rice Univeristy campus, one floor above Rice Gallery. His work makes use of his experience working in New York as a puppet and set builder in the stop motion animation industry. For the Emergency Room, Mittag has created a large diorama depicting the aftermath of a tornado. Featured in this installation is a mobile home that has landed in a tree with its occupants opting to continue to live there rather than leave. His witty attention to detail complements his expertise in model making.
