Southwest Key's East Austin VOTA Campaign  Wednesday, April 20 6:30pm-8:00pm
A City Council Candidates’ Forum
Southwest Key Programs Community Room

This campaign has included outreach to increase voter participation and offer voter education opportunities to increase voter engagement.

Friday, May 6 Polls Open 2:00-7:00pm Early Voting Southwest Key Programs Community Room

Want to avoid the crush of lines and still have your voice heard in the upcoming elections? Join us for Early Voting on May 6.   
 If you are registered to vote in Travis County you can vote at Southwest Key, regardless of where you live (bring your voter card or ID).  Please  bring your friends and family to vote with us - high voter turnout sends a strong message to elected officials that this neighborhood is mobilized!  
Mobile Food Pantry
 In April the partnership between CAFB and Southwest Key Programs provided 9,036 pounds of food to the community feeding 277 families.  We host the mobile pantry between 4:00 – 6:00pm every second Friday of the month.  
Upcoming dates are May 13, June 10 and July 8.   
Southwest Key Programs Job and Career Fair
Friday June 10th, 2011   11:00-2:00pm
Participants can meet with, submit resumes and applications, and ask questions of potential employers about job and career opportunities as well as speak with representatives from career and job training institutes and schools. Representatives companies such as Southwest Institute of Technology, Capital City Careers,  and Workforce Solutions will attend.

Walk of Heroes & Family Fiesta
May 14, 2011  10:00am  
Join the Southwest Key Familia as we unveil our "Walk of Heroes” and honor our first hero, Mr. Pedro Garza, Regional Director, Austin Regional Office, Economic Development Administration.  The ceremony will be followed by a family fiesta with live musical and dance performances, children's carnival games and local food.
