Lenten Fine Arts
Series of concerts on Thursdays at noon in the Chapel. Schedule of musicians is available online.

March 24, Rob Landes will present an organ recital.

 

March 29, United Methodist Women will host a Spiritual Growth Worship Service of Prayer and Self-Denial with Eva Archer Smith in the Chapel at 10:30 a.m. with potluck to follow in the Hines-Baker Room. RSVP to 713-402-5139

Easter Offering Funds will be used to purchase supplies and materials, and subsidize staff support for mission trips.

Hearing Conference

 

Do you hear what I hear?
March 26, 8:30-12:30 p.m. at the Westheimer Campus

Free Hearing Conference for identifying and managing hearing loss. Workshops deal with the emotional impact of hearing loss and the latest technology. The conference includes more than a dozen vendor displays and free hearing screenings for those who have not been tested before. Keynote speaker is Teri Wathen, hearing Loss Research Specialist.

March 24, Discovering Connections is a group for active adults in the early stages of memory loss and their family care partners. Individuals with some memory impairment participate in educational and creative sessions which research indicates promotes fellowship, health and well-being. Concurrently, family members join in discussion groups designed to enhance care partner confidence. Groups, facilitated by professionals trained in memory support, start March 24. March 27, SMU's Meadows Chorale will sing in worship during all three Sanctuary services (8:30, 9:45 and 11 a.m.) and will join with Pure Sound to perform at 4:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. 

March 31, Go With Grace- Women's Bible Study led by Dr. Linda Christians begins its spring session and considers the questions that often emerge throughout a woman’s life. The group meets from 7:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in the Hines Baker Room. To learn more contact Kathy Neely, 713-402-5139.

April 1-3, Pure Sound Youth Choir presents the Stephen Schwartz musical "Children of Eden", 7 p.m. on April 1 & 2, and 2:30 p.m. on April 2 & 3 in the Fellowship Hall. Tickets $10.
