A NEW YEARíS EVE TRIBUTE TO OLí BLUE EYES WITH THE FORT WORTH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra

November, 2010

“Come Fly With Me”… “My Kind Of Town”… “Strangers In The Night”… All these hits and more are part of the classiest New Year’s Eve in town, as the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra pays tribute to ol’ blue eyes, the great Frank Sinatra. The concert features Las Vegas headliner Steve Lippia, one of today’s finest interpreters of the “standards.” Music Director Miguel Harth-Bedoya conducts. It’s the perfect way to ring in the New Year!

The concert starts at 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 31 at Bass Performance Hall. Tickets are $29 - $80 and are available at www.fwsymphony.org or by calling 817-665-6000.

Las Vegas headliner Steve Lippia has quickly established his place among the finest interpreters of standards and traditional pop music in the nation. He has headlined in highly successful, extended engagements at the Rio Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and Resorts Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, where audiences have lined up more than two hours before show time to vie for seating. He has performed to standing-room-only crowds at New York’s legendary Birdland Jazz Club, backed by the Nelson Riddle and Wood Herman orchestras, as well as in a highly successful European jazz festival tour that resulted in a televised special on Finnish TV2. He has appeared with the Toronto, Indianapolis, Vancouver, Cleveland, Oregon, Calgary, Austin, Tacoma, Alabama, Greensboro, Hilton Head, Winnipeg, Jacksonville, and Colorado symphony orchestras as well as the Rochester Philharmonic, Palm Beach Pops, and Louisiana Philharmonic. Lippia has also appeared on Extra, CNN’s Showbiz Today, and Fox’s Good Day New York.

This concert is made possible by season sponsors Star-Telegram, American Airlines, North Texas Audi Dealers and Worthington Renaissance Hotel. Promotional support is provided by Star-Telegram and WRR Classical 101.1 FM.
