Tickets for the amazing SNAPshots Celebration and Fashion Show in December are now on sale on the SNAP website. Standard, Premium, and VIP tickets are available through our online ticketing system, as are two sponsorship levels. Individual tickets start as low as $75 per person. The coveted SNAPonista sponsorship level is $600 and includes all of the perks of VIP ticketing plus invitations to the kick-off party and wrap party for four people.

Cesar Millan Speaks Up About Spay-Neuter
"Dog Whisperer" Launches Latino-Focused Campaign with a Visit to SNAP

Internationally renowned dog trainer Cesar Millan took up the banner of spay-neuter in a big way in July when he visited the SNAP clinic in San Antonio to kick off a multi-state campaign directed at the Spanish-speaking community. The campaign is centered around a Spanish-language Public Service Announcement (PSA) that will run on Univision and Telemundo network stations. The PSA will first air in Houston, San Antonio, and Los Angeles. The campaign will later be expanded to other markets with large Spanish-speaking populations. Full story.

Picassos by Paws Lets Your Dog Create His Own Masterpiece

Is your dog a prodigy? Find out at Picassos by Paws!

Find out what your dog would say if she could express herself through art at Picassos by Paws! Bring your four-leggers, bring your two-leggers, and definitely bring the cameras to Archway Gallery at because you are going to want to capture this for posterity!  Bayou City Outdoors and Archway Gallery present Picassos by Paws, a fundraiser for SNAP. Volunteers will be assisting dogs in bringing out their inner Picasso with safe water-based paints and canvases. Full story.

Fundraising Group’s Annual Soiree Benefits SNAP and Other Local Agencies

Be Fierce & Fabulous at the Houston PetSet Soiree!

Be Fierce & Fabulous, the Houston PetSet’s annual soiree, is one of this fall’s not-to-be-missed events, and it benefits SNAP. The organization reports that the event will feature "hot tunes, chic cocktails and bites, and the opportunity to bid on some great packages" in their silent auction. It all takes place on Saturday, September 11, 2010, at the Omni Houston Hotel at 4 Riverway, Houston, TX. Full story.

Kroger Neighbor-to-Neighbor Program Funds SNAP Spay-Neuter

It's time to re-enroll in Kroger's Neighbor-to-Neighbor program! The 2009 program ended in May of this year, and SNAP received $2,487.90 thanks to your participation! Now it's time to re-enroll for the 2010 program year. If you didn't participate last year, you can still enroll for this year's program. The program offers you the opportunity to help dogs and cats without it costing you a penny. How do you sign up? Just take a copy of the SNAP Neighbor-to-Neighbor program letter to Kroger the next time you go shopping! Full story.

In Memory of Jennifer Ruggeri

The Lost Pawses Foundation and The Palm Restaurant cordially invite you for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres to celebrate the life of Jennifer Ruggeri. Jennifer, who was the daughter of Bobby Ruggeri, was an animal lover and supported many animal charities during her life. Lost Pawses and the Palm have teamed up to hold this celebration of her life benefiting SNAP and other area animal welfare charities. Honey Ross and her helper Tom are generously underwriting the bar, and The Palm will kindly donate appetizers from its kitchen. Full story.
