Abell-Hanger Foundation funds 25 teachers to travel to D.C.

For three local civics and history teachers, this was a pilgrimage of sorts to the epicenter of the U.S. Government in Washington D.C., where three centuries and counting of American history awaited them.

The teachers, two from Andrews Middle School and one from Odessa High School, were among a group of 25 educators from across the country who spent three days in mid July touring the U.S. capital, stuffing their brains to the brim with tidbits of knowledge and gleaning as much educational material as they could from the sites they toured.
