    • Grants are key to sustaining social impact programs. If you cannot write a good comprehensive grant proposal, chances are, you will not get the award. We can help you research, write, edit, and manage your grant.
    • Evidence-based decision making has brought a new level to accountability. Not only must nonprofits address how and where funds are spent, they must increasingly show the value or impact they are making a result of those funds. Almost all grants are now requiring an evaluation plan that tracks both outputs and outcomes. Some grants require that this evaluation be from an independent third-party.We can help you ask the right questions, build your evaluation plan, conduct your own evaluation, or be your third-party evaluator.
    • Analytics is the ace in your pocket. With it, you can predict donor behavior, create donor profiles, optimize donor engagement strategies, and improve organizational performance. We can help you move towards being a data culture, collecting the right data, analyzing your data, finding useful insights from your data, and building a valuable dashboard.

    Our Value

Although we are a business, we are a team that values our communities. We want to use the expertise that we have acquired to come alongside nonprofits to serve our mutual vision for a better tomorrow. We donít just want your business,we want to help you grow your own skills Ė we want to empower you with a greater body of knowledge so that you can gain the confidence to go beyond where you are right now.

We also understand that, as practitioners, the support you need vastly differs from the support that may be offered to you from the academic and business worlds. Our commitment is to work with you where you are at and not to sell you something you donít need, canít afford, or arenít ready for.

    Our Process

Every nonprofit is at a different place. Some may know exactly what they need as defined by foundation parameters, and others may want to venture down the evaluation or research road but do not know where to start. Regardless of where you are, we offer a free 1.5 hour consultation up front to determine how we can help you. When you are ready to move forward with your project, give us a call at 800-806-5661 or email us at We will get back to you within one business day and set up a time where we can discuss your nonprofit and the direction you want to go. We will provide you with a questionnaire that will help you articulate exactly what you want from us, because we understand that you may not know exactly what you need. With the information gained from the questionnaire, we are able to use our initial consultation time in the most efficient way possible for your project.

    Our Clients

We have served a number of nonprofits Ė from large faith-based organizations to chapters of national social service networks. We have created surveys, conducted needs assessments, set up internal program evaluations, provided oversight on data collection, performed basic to high level statistical analysis, and been a sounding board for screening ideas. Our services go beyond the nonprofit realm as well, into the business, medical health, and academic worlds, and for each of these, more often than not, our clients keep returning to us because of the quality of our work, the skills we embed into their organization, and the collaborative relationship we build along the way.

In these instances, the Elite Research consultants work closely with the client to utilize a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods, including: experimental designs, quasi-experimental designs, descriptive or observational designs, cross-sectional designs, cohort or longitudinal designs, case studies, focus groups, in-depth interviews, and more. Our team works with clients to develop a customized package of services that will meet their specific needs. In addition, Elite Research consultants assist in the development of research designs and protocols using measures and subsequent data analyses that clarify, target, and produce answers to the questions posed.

    Our Structure

Elite Research follows a matrix organizational structure with the primary decision maker as the President. Functional departments, such as research and statistics, computing and information technology, technical writing and editing, and optimization, coordinate regularly with production groups based on individual project needs. This allows facilitation of expert staff per project, rather than the duplication of products or resources. Unlike other firms, consultants at Elite Research are trained in real-world research, rather than solely theoretical or mathematical approaches, and, as such, are highly qualified to deal with the unique situations that often go hand-in-hand with real-world research.

    Our Leadership

Dr. Rene Paulson, president and senior statistician of Elite Research, LLC and director of the Center for Research Design and Analysis for Texas Womanís University, earned a Ph.D. and Masterís degree in experimental psychology from Texas Christian University after obtaining her Bachelorís degree from Ohio University. She holds Six Sigma certifications and memberships for several professional organizations, including Association for Women in Mathematics, American Evaluation Association, American Psychological Association, and the American Statistical Association. Examples of her conference presentations include the Joint Statistical Meetings in 2014 and the Canadian Association for Health Services and Policy Research in 2012. In the fall of 2015, she earned an honorary Doctor of Community Leadership degree from Franklin University for her dedicated work in the field.

Dr. Paulsonís core passions lie in the empowerment of researchers, and these passions have been transferred to the Elite Research team as well. Making a difference is at the core of who she is, and one of the main avenues for affecting change is through her work with nonprofits. Over the years, she has worked with a number of varying domestic and international nonprofits, assisting in everything from program evaluations to outcome measurements and (community) asset mapping. She has not limited herself to specific service types and has taken on projects ranging from domestic violence and mental health to adolescent behavior and faith-based work. Setting up these projects is only part of what she loves about her work, imparting knowledge and skills to practitioners in order to help them do their work more effectively is one of the driving motivations for her work, especially with nonprofit organizations. Through her work with charities, she has been able to be a part of social change at the local, regional, and global level.
